Sea Trial
The sea trial allows the marine surveyor to evaluate the engine and overall vessel performance under the load and stresses for which it will be used. The steering, controls, engine mounts, shafts, and exhaust systems are also checked.
Oil Analysis
The oil analysis will detect if there are any contaminants in the oil such as water , antifreeze, or salt. The lab analysis can also detect internal wear of the engine if extreme wear is present. Lab results are usually available in three days.
Corrosion Analysis
The corrosion analysis will detect any voltages on the metal components in a vessel, which will cause corrosion. The analysis will determine if the bonding system in intact and protected, and pinpoint any areas which are freely eroding (causing corrosion).
Extensive Moisture Analysis
Areas on a vessel showing signs of moisture can be evaluated extensively where a computer generated mapping grid can be created for your vessel showing moisture levels from meter readings and hull soundings.
Compression Checks
Compression checks can be completed on gasoline engines to assist with determining the internal condition of your engine.
